To be a notary public in Oklahoma you must purchase a surety bond. It is mandatory to utilize an embosser, pre-inked or self-inking stamp that will act as an official notary seal on all notarial acts. If you decide to use an embosser, seal impression inker is another required purchase in order to satisfy the photocopiable requirement. The state recommends a records journal to maintain all notarization and protect yourself from lawsuit questioning. For more information and requirements see our Notary Public Oklahoma FAQs.
